What is the Zombie Apocalypse?
The Z-Apocalypse is the state of the world as it is overrun by zombies. As the infection of the zombie virus spreads, it becomes a plague of the likes we have never seen. From Patient 0, it is estimated that it will take anywhere from 4 to 7 months before the undead outnumber the living. For the months to follow, it will be a daily fight for survival as the undead continue to gain in numbers.
Decay does not come fast enough. Seasons are looked upon not as a gauge for what shoes you might wear that day, but a gauge for zombie decay. Summers bring a stench 1000 times more potent than the most putrid New York sewers, as the rate of decay increases exponentially. Winter is your friend, especially if you’ve been fortunate enough to bunker down in a cold climate. Freezing temperatures allow for a proactive fight against the walking dead. Though frozen, however, they are still a threat. As temperatures increase they thaw, continuing exactly where they left off, in the exact direction, with the same motive.
A frozen zombie is one who is in wait to be cleansed of its own filth. Take advantage of their frozen state and scour your area in all directions. The more you are able to slay in these months, the safer you will be in the months to follow. Be aware, however, that zombies are for the most part, fluidless. They are dead, after all. That said, they WILL freeze at a slower rate than you will! A common misconception is that because they lack the production of internal body heat, zombies may freeze at a slower rate. Keep in mind that they are fluidless and do not rely on what we do to survive. Take precautions. Do not over-exhaust yourself and be mindful of direction, as it is easier to lose your way in such conditions.
